These came from France pre-1914 and they stayed.
Eight bone plates made in Limoges by A. Lanternier & Co., marked with the green anchor the factory used from the mid-1800s through the 20th century. Hard paste French porcelain — the kind that rings when you tap it and doesn’t apologize for being used.
Bone plates were made for the table. But Limoges is not precious. It is durable, dishwasher safe, and indifferent to daily life in the best possible way. A stack on an open shelf. Bread and olive oil. The end of a cheese board. Rings and earrings at the end of the day.
It doesn’t require a cabinet. It doesn’t require an occasion.
White, with a scalloped edge so subtle you notice it up close and nowhere else. Approximately 6.5” x 4”. Made in France to be used.
Minor imperfections consistent with age. Sold as a set of eight.
