This cheerful little covered dish is made from white milk glass with a bright red painted finish, textured seeds, and a leafy green lid. Just the right size for rings, earrings, or the small things that collect on a bedside table. Also perfectly happy sitting on a shelf looking like a strawberry.
The design appears consistent with vintage Hazel-Atlas strawberry jars, although the piece is unmarked and the maker cannot be confirmed.
Approximately 4 inches tall.
Condition: Vintage with some wear to the painted finish and three small, superficial chips on the lid, courtesy of the curator’s occasionally unreliable hands. The lid still fits and functions as intended, and the price reflects the mishap. A fine line inside the lid appears to be from manufacturing rather than a crack. Please see photographs for details.
